Just running through the helmet schedule, it is clear that some have far easier paths than others. I think Georgia is the best team but their schedule is ROUGH. At Bama, at Texas, at Ole Miss. I don’t think they come out of that unblemished. On the other hand, you can look at the schedules for LSU and Texas and not have to stretch to find a path to 12-0.
I don’t trust the Ole Miss or Mizzou hype yet. It’s one thing to maneuver your way to 10-2 when you’re still flying under the radar to most on the national scene, it’s another to manage the weight of expectations. I have 9-3 and no playoff for both.
Tennessee and A&M both have playoff chances, in my opinion.
I don’t love Bama’s schedule and think the “year after Saban” effect may get them this year. I think DeBoer is a great coach that’s maybe never gonna be appreciated by that bunch. I see 9-3 or maybe 8-4.
I think we get to 6-6.
