Frankly, I can see the bowl system making its own tradition irrelevant by creating so many of these games and changing the names to the sponsor's names (Outback, Capital One, Chick-fil-a, etc.) such that nobody cares about them. Can someone give me a good reason why watching the crapfest out there is better than a 16-team playoff with the first two rounds played on-campus? In fact, you can have the playoff and still have the crapfest.
