What a relief for us that Tolu Smith is no longer on the team…

Tolu was a good player but it was tough to run an offense through him.
Wasnt that tough. Didn’t give 100%. Sometimes looked like he had smoked 3 blunts before the game. Tendency to give up. Much better team chemistry without him. Whatever happened to that dude anyway.
Last years team didn’t have guards that can create shots. Hubbard was still green and there was no other guard on that team that could go out there and do what these guys are capable of every night. The offense wouldn’t have to run through Tolu.
So you think we don’t have that potential without him? Lots of speculation in that take…
I think it still would have ran through him assuming we paid the same that we did last year for Tolu.
If he was on this roster teams wouldn’t be able to double team him so much like they did last season. If they did these guards would make them pay with open shots or cutting to the paint on the double team for a layup.
I think that Murphy has a chance to have a really good season and replicate most of what Tolu did. It's what comes after Keyshawn that should worry us all
I didn't say that. The one thing we seem to be lacking is a dominate big man. You can still get there without one, but having one would be nice.
If Nwoko could somehow give us what Abdul Ado did in rim protection and rebounding we’ll be much better off than trying to replicate what Tolu gave us.
I'm assuming Tolu was never
percent last year. There were times he had the ball under the basket and he could have easily dunked but he would miss a layup. I'm assuming that his foot was a factor that slowed him down. That's what I want to believe anyway.
Gotta love that the SPS tradition of being free to **** all over our good players, even after they're long gone, remains alive and well.

Hubbard might have been “green” at this time last year, but he still was / is as good as it gets at the college level as far as being a guard that can create shots….but he was the only one. Multiple options now, which is nice. It ran through Tolu and Hubbard last year because there was no Plan C.

Hubbard is at another level this season. He had a tremendous offseason and got bigger and stronger. He played like a freshman at times last season so yes he was green.
