For some reason, this year Christmas Music has annoyed me a bit. I’m usually into it but not so much this time around.

I like the classic stuff. And God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen by the Bare Naked Ladies is one of my favorite newer versions of a song.

This is one of mine

“Little Drummer Boy” by any artist, but this vision is my favorite. I listened to King & Country last year and was hooked. I also enjoy listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing Little Drummer Boy and any other song they sing.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GO COCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like silly ones like Sammy, the Christmas Snake. But I love the old standards by Elvis, Johnny Mathis, etc. My parents used to play them on the giant console stereo.

Don Henley - "Please Come Home For Christmas"

The Eagles' version isn't, of course, the original version, but theirs is really the standard for that song that everyone else is measured by. I'll say this, the Bon Jovi version is good, and the guitar solo by Richie Sambora at the end is sublime. Really nice guitar playing.

Number one. WAS/IS the all time best selling record: Bing Crosby. White Christmas. Came out in 1942 in the midst of a terrible war and servicemen couldn't get enough of it. Decca shipped thousands of records overseas. Crosby did a lot of shows for servicemen and they always demanded White Christmas, even though it put a sad pall on the proceedings as the troops thought of home and hearth. Crosby stated he could see the lumps in their throats and tears in their eyes. There you have it. White Christmas.

I thought Rudolph was the song played more than any other. I am happy to know we have better taste. LOL

Any fans of The Band?!? This is a great Christmas song

I went to a songwriting camp in upstate NY in September and Levon's daughter Amy was a guest artist. She is incredibly kind and has an insane singing voice. Also stopped by Levon Helm Studio while I was in Woodstock.
