We were killing them on the glass. absolutely killing them. Why we played small the entire second half is mind boggling.

But we won a tough one and I'll take it.

Stans refuses to play Phil Turner anywhere but the 4. It's mind boggling.

Probably our best win of the year though.

He was trying to match their quickness. They were playing a 4 guard lineup and Kodi really didn't match up we on the defensive end sans rebounds; and they weren't missing as many in the second half.

Just once I want to see these 5 on the court... Dee/Barry Phil Osby Kodi and Swat.

For the record, I like Coach Stans but some of his decisions today were questionable to say the least.</p>

He was worse defensively today than usual. He had an easy two on one situation and pulled up to clank a three. On two loose balls that I saw, he just stood there allowing a Houston player to out hustle him. He's the most selfish player we've had since Robert Jackson. He is the anti-Brandon Vincent. He does all the little things poorly.

that you can't see that team defense is what earns you playing time under Rick Stansbury. Because he learned that from Richard Williams.

Kodi is a lazy defender sometimes. And that's when his *** sits on the bench. Just like Dontae Jones did early in the 96 season.

But who am I to argue with the basketball geniuses on this board? I'll say it again - our dumbass fans don't deserve the success we've had in basketball the last 20 years.

Maybe he enjoyed the plus 6 second half point total compared to the tie game in the first half.

If Kodi had an inside game, we could've score every trip down the court. Houston had no answer for gaurding two big guys down low. It would've been nice to see us try to take advantage of that a little more than we did.

If Kodi played more in the first half we wouldn't have been tied at the break. Since the score doesn't seem to matter maybe he shoulda given Riek some minutes, I mean he is over 7 feet tall, ya know.

Maybe it looked worse because I was at the game but Kodi was awful in first half. Yes he got rebounds but he was useless on D (as was Ravern but that is another story). Offensively, he took at least 3 just stupid shots in addition to his 3 or 4 turnovers. He showed flashes of being really, really good but overall the team was much better defensively with him on the bench.

If you want to criticize Stansbury for something, someone explain to me why Riley Benock was trying guard Aubrey Coleman. He had no chance and picked up three quick fouls and kept Coleman going.

Poor Poor Defense, poor decisions on offense (jacking up three's when we should establish a half court game), and he tries to handle the ball like a point guard when he doesn't have point guard skills. When the game is on the line, I have no issues putting Phil and his hard nosed defense in over Kodi and his poor decision making and poor defense.
