The ball to Bama... unbelievable!

It was definitely recovered inbounds but was it a fumble?

It's amazing how those plays happen in Bama games over and over again.

It was called a fumble on the field, and there was no conclusive evidence to overturn it. Looked like the right call to me.

It was an incomplete pass. And even if it was a fumble he didn’t have control of the ball inbounds so should have still been offense ball. And it wasn’t even intentional grounding, which was their backup call, because the QB being hit affected the throw. Never seen officials 17 up 3 calls on the same play before.

That was more of a pass than the fumble return that was called back in the 1Q. This is a farce. And, evidently, you can spike the ball in college now.

It’s a tough call but I believe it was the right one. Looked like the ball started to come loose before he released it. The fumble recovery was complete dumb luck. It bounced into the guy’s hands without him even really attempting to recover it.

If his arm isn't going in a forward motion how does the ball go 8-10 yards down field?

If the quarterback doesn’t have control of the ball, it can be a fumble forward. I see that happen quite often. The “empty hand” if you will.

Have a Liberty. Because I saw it happen in the liberty bowl in September.

Ball goes forward from QB hand yet is not a pass lol

A ball can go forward even when it isnt under control.
The QB loses grip, ball is therefore loose and live, and the QB moves the arm forward while the ball is loose and not under control.

Fumble.

At least IBMD is hinting at instead of outright claiming it for once.

Quit trying to bring physics into this. Maybe there was a magic gravitational force 10 yards down the field that drug that ball forwards.

Imagine it's Young. Incomplete pass 100%

At least you're almost not making your usual hyperbole leaden comments in the direction of what you are thinking so I'm not even going to come close to answering that remark... uh, semi-snark.

I'm pretty sure they got the call right but it seems weird that it really does seem as if there's always one of those kind of plays in every Bama BIG game... that's all.

I really don't care who wins this game at all but I will be stunned if we don't go to overtime.
