I think this is a big part of the reason why the NCAA still wants to regulate how involved the school athletic departments themselves are involved in NIL deals. I think they're okay with schools helping on raising the funds, but the NCAA wants to make sure that the only contractual agreement between the student athlete and the school is the letter of intent/scholarship.
