I don't think it's fair to have Jamont on your list unless he's your control to weed out the idiots on here.

But anyway, yeah, it's been a great year. I think it all goes back to LT getting the boot though.

The impact of that one will trump all of the others.

Foglesong and Jamont leaving are the two dark clouds on the list.

because that tells me that we're going to be serious about baseball again and the "that's baseball" era is finally over.

Besides the baseball season we had this year we have been highly successful in getting some things done around our athletics since we hosted the Super Regional last year. This baseball season was a sobering up period over the course of last years CWS team, Liberty Bowl football and NCAA tourney basketball with the let down against Memphis. When will we get screwed over down the line?

Without a doubt the Byrne hire has been the best thing to happen at MSU in a very long time

For me it was the olive branch / sign of better things to come... Now if we don't keep building on this past season, then that vote will def change to Byrne's hire when he plays the part of Spike Lee and "Do the Right Thing"... And Cans That ***...

But Cohen, Liberty Bowl and NCAA basketball tournament were pretty damn good too.

because in only a couple of months, we have done things that for years LT told us we couldn't do, like:
1. spend money (Croom salary, HD board)
2. conduct an actual national search without a PR agenda
3. come up with 21st century marketing (using the website for ticket sales, attract more corporate sponsorships)

Football and basketball were highlights but this hire will hopefully change our entire landscape for the better.

I love the job Byrne has done, but he has so many things to do. With his success so far someone may snatch him from us before he's finished.
The Cohen hire however removed an absolute cancer to our school, and replaced him with a fire ball that really does have loyalty to MSU.

are a f'n sheep because, according to some geniuses around here, you are daring to verbally suck GB's dick. I mean, what the F has he done except his job? It's not like he's done **** except what "he should have done."

How f'n DARE you give him credit for any F'N thing?

[For you f'n dimwits, that's sarcasm]

I was trying to decide between Templeton out/Byrne in and Polk retiring/Cohen hired. Then, I realized that if there was no Templeton out/Byrne in then it would have been Polk retiring/Raffo hired. Not trying to bring up that topic again, but that is why I am going with Templeton out/Byrne in.

Pretty easy, Templeton out/Bryne in. Contracts being done quickly and with communication, new scoreboard, Bulldog club members up, Cohen in, several lazy deadheads fired or retiring. A no brainer.

the key was cutting the head off of the one monster. We are just now getting the first fruits. Now we don't have to worry about Croom or Stansbury getting complacent, and they're all going to have to work harder to keep their jobs.

There will be no more, "But we owe coach _________ for all he has done for us", "Coach _______ has won before, and he will do it again", or "What would Coach ________ do if we fired him? He and his family would be forced to move and he wouldn't have a job." BS. No more massive 15 year rebuilding projects.

I actually might have voted for 0-8 ole miss if they hadn't fired Ogre...but I can't in good conscience vote for an option that has OM making a logical move.
