We already beat MIZZOU by a couple on the road. I want us to dominate at home.

That will help confirm what I think about this team.

I'm so accustomed to following a big win with a bad loss in football and basketball that I'm anxious about this one. I want to believe this team is different than what we've traditionally had but I need to see it.

It’s certainly a concern as this is the ultimate trap game. Not just for us, but anyone in our position. Glad we’re at home for this one. Need the crowd to give us a bit of energy. I expect this one to be close.

Avoided the loss after a big win so that tells you something positive about this team.
Didn't play our best, especially Meechie, and others stepped up.
One thing which needs some work and focus is lazy passes on offense. Wasted possessions will hurt us against better teams.

Yes, it seems I've noticed a lot of lazy passes in the games I've watched this year.

It also seems to me that this team does not know how to finish on drives to the basket. That could be one reason why we never seem to have many fast break points, despite being a pretty good defensive team. Likewise, it seems many times we will make a great pass underneath the basket, but are unable to finish with points. It's as if our guys know the best they can hope for is to draw a foul (which, fortunately, they often do).

Having said that, this is the best outside shooting team we've had in a long time and they did what they needed to do today. I'm very happy to get the win today, by any amount of points.

Gray and Boyles don't always have the confidence to finish underneath. Boyles will get there quickly with experience. They both made great first step moves today, beat their defender and then would try a crazy reverse layup. Although he missed it, I loved seeing Boyles go up and try to tear down the rim in the 2nd half.

BJ is a good finisher but struggles when he can't get the big guys to leave their feet. Fortunately, 35 and 75 went for every one of his fakes today. He's an undersized warrior.

The taped square on the backboard is your friend if you use it on those drives and close range shots.

Yeah, definitely a trap game. We didn’t play a great game, but we won. A relief to put another W on the board.

And, UGA lost to UF to help us out a bit in the standings. We MUST beat UGA in Athens.

I am still dumbfounded by the lack of college players not using the "square part" of the backboard, the lady g's could increase their offensive points by 10-15 points a game if they would use it, especially Cordoso.

I think some of our players believe that banks are closed after 5:00 and on weekends.
