What is going to make next year's recruiting class any better?

This feels miserable to say, but the question that should be asked right now won’t be about next year. It should be about what needs to be done in order make 2026 and beyond better

And I think we all know the answer to that, but our admin won’t do it because the answer includes them too

You aren't wrong. Lebby has a man crush on Hozler. It's going to cost him his job.

Next year isn't going to be much better than this year. And if Huff brings in a bunch of Marshall transfers to USM, next year could be just as bad or worse than this year.

This is the definition of insanity.
The class is currently ranked #26 - about where we've always been. I'm not saying I'm thrilled with how it's going. But to act like our recruiting has historically been strong and is now suddenly taking a nosedive under Lebby is just not accurate.

As I clearly stated, I'm not thrilled with how it's going. Do you see this recruiting haul as an anomaly compared to past years? Help me understand.
In a year when the state of Mississippi had a really good group of HS players, we may only sign 2 out of the top 20. Pardon me for having slightly higher expectations. Was it Lebby who mentioned something about "putting a fence around our state"?

Upon closer inspection, it does seem like we got whipped in-state, no doubt about that, despite the ranking. I mean Arkansas came in and took two guys (DL no less!). I'm OK with the JUCOs, and while the ranking is generally what we always are, I'd have rather seen a bigger focus from us on in-staters rather than all these out-of-staters who are going to transfer the minute their home state schools decide they want them.

Look at the offer lists for our recruits. I don't care what the class is ranked, this is not a good class.

When was the last year we dominated in-state recruiting? Honest question.
