My guess is it will look a lot like it does today on the field. The Have’s and the Have Not’s. And lots of eyeballs on the TV sets on Saturdays. A few less in the seats (as has been the trend for a decade now). But there will be a lot more griping around message boards and water coolers. Just not enough to keep most fans from watching every game and complaining more about the offensive coordinator than they do about NIL….at least until bowl season and the transfer portal strikes again.Thanks. Shades of Bear Bryant. In the days before team limits, the Bear got a lot of players to keep other teams from getting them. He had 120 players on roster at times.One other thing to consider is how this will be used to undermine rivals. A university paying more NIL can “buy” talent away from other universities even if they don’t need them. Simply to limit competition.
