Mulkey is offended by everything said by any paper. Reese says everyone hates them but wants to be them. Now Van Lith is saying it is all racism. There is something g really bad going on that must go real deep for them to all be so easily offended and blaming everyone for everything and yet they want to be seen as Innocent. THEY are the ones taunting. Pulling hair, wanting people to push certain players. It is really messed up and I think something deep is wrong there.
As for Van Lith, not trying to say anything wrong on my part here but a TON of women’s basketball teams are primarily black but yet they don’t have the same “issues” as LSU. LSU brings criticism on themselves.
i say all this because I feel there is something really wrong there that they are hiding and are trying to divert for some reason or another.

It’s from the top down. Period. Reese was quoted saying herself that it’s Mulkey who’s always feeding the players this crap that they’re bigger than the game and that everyone wants to be them. Mulkey has some serious personal issues and it trickles down to her players. Why anyone want to send their child there is beyond me unless all they care about is their child being a good basketball player and not what kind of person they’re becoming.

I think the brouhaha over both the team's ethos and the coach's mien are a bonanza for the WBB side of things. I also believe they are affecting a bunker mentality - them against the world, which is exactly what they and their fanbase want. I don't see a downside for them in all this kerfuffle.

Mulkey is a brilliant tactician. She’s taking every little nugget of external drama and self-inflicted stupidity and feeding it to her ignorant, naive players. Mulkey is a master manipulator.

Well, there's that also. They might not win out, but if they don't, it won't be because the coach's management of her or her team's current "notoriety". She has the media and the public exactly where she wants them.

Absolutely! She’s the smartest neck to ever make it out her trailer park.

The drama is purposely being created to sell WBB and the the LSU brand.
It's obviously working cause it's all the media can talk about.
Yesterday in the ESPN news feed there were ten headlines and three of them were about LSU's issues! I'm still not sure how that benefits Women's College Basketball, but so be it, it might feed the Tiger!

I could see where some LSU fans might need to hold their nose and pull for this team. It’s the “end justifies the means” type of thing.
