We have played 2 ranked teams out of 3.
As example: UK has played Ball State, Akron, and Eastern Ky. They look average to poor doing it. We’ll see how this ends. Most teams have played at least two if not 3 patsies. Dare say we had the toughest opening 3 games in the nation.

Its interesting to me that first time coaches like Tim Beck at Coastal and Golesh at South Florida get votes in coaches poll but Beamer and Sweeney and even Harbaugh at Michigan do not. How do they determine who gets to vote?
I'd say Auburn fans are probably more upset about being #52 since they are 3-0.
It is true that we have played a tougher slate than most. But you gotta win the games in front of you. Hopefully our more rigorous start will pay dividends over the long haul. We have already faced arguably the best QB and the best defense in college football.
Well Coastal is 2-1, and played a helluva lot better against UCLA week 1 than we did vs UNC. They flat out destroyed Duquesne Saturday night. They are an electric team that will make a lot of noise in the SBC this year. They have a big test Thursday night vs Ga State.
I am a Coastal fan because they are from my home state. The UCLA game was a nice pickup game and effort for them. Forgive me if Duquesne and Ga St don’t excite me. Not downing Coastal…… But like I said, we played the toughest schedule. What we do from now. Moving forward will define us.
Yeah, I don't know if beating Duquesne is anything noteworthy. They lost to the likes of Stonehill, Merimack, Long Island University and St. Francis (PA) last year...though they did beat Thomas More College.
There was no reason for that person to be denigrating Coastal for no reason other than they are Coastal. Let's not forget how everyone was in love with anything and everything Coastal while Chadwell was still there.
Still doesnt explain how he gets a vote and others dont. I am Coastal Alum so I root for Coastal but wonder how he gets a vote along with some others. How do they choose who votes?
BTW we will see what kind of coach Beck is in a year or so when McCall is gone along with some of those other offensive weapons that Chadwell brought in. Right now they are winning but his coaching style is dull as dirt compared to Chadwell. He will cost McCall player of the year his senior year because he only wants to run the ball up the middle over and over and occasionally throw one down the field. McCall and those weapons are really really good but he has already cut many of their stats in half due to his absurd play calling. yes they scored 66 but there were 2 pick 6's in the game and Duquesne just didnt belong on the field. When these good players are gone lets see what he does. NC State fans sure were as glad to see him go as we were about Satterfield. He only got the job due to friendship with Joe Moglia. Its the only reason they interviewed no one and had him in place literally 2 hours after Chadwell resigned. I know it was known Chadwell was leaving but this was a "buddy" pick for coach and from those on the inside that I know very, very well, he is a horses butt of a person. Good to the players, but treats all others like crap and that will come back to haunt him. So many behind the scenes have quit since he came because of what he is like to work with.
I pull for any state team not named Clemson but it doesn’t mean I envy any part of them.
Harbaugh has been on suspension, and was just reinstated yesterday 9/18, so that would explain why he did not get to vote.
Not really. I hope for school sake he succeeds but he isnt a great guy and was hired without any real cause or search. They could have gotten so many other people or actually put forth some money and kept Chadwell because his move was lateral. He was not given what Beck is currently given in terms of resources. Thats why he left, he saw they were not going to invest in him and really was a great coach and great person. Coastal made a mistake letting him go on lateral move.
