As the site has matured, I wonder how many younger users we have? I have said this before - if the same events happened today as it did in 2003 with genespage - SixPack would have never been started. We just would have used twitter/facebook. Message boards were really the first form of social media.

I may be an odd ball and that's fine, but I don't use twitter and facebook. Don't want to use them either.
But I think there was enough social interaction for everyone where sixpack gaining popularity would have never happened. It was formed out of necessity.

I'm really surprised by that that 20-29 number. I started lurking in my late 20s, but I definitely had "more important" matters to attend to in my early 20s than posting on a message board.

I am surprised at the small number of old 17-ers like me. Some of seem old and bitter before your time.

The Facebook msu groups are 1000 times worse than coming here and reading post. People think posters here are idiots cry baby's or sunshine pumpers, they should look at Facebook. Extreme extreme

I started lurking between genespage, the original sps and gridscape (Tennessee) in 2004 during computer class at hillcrest. Stayed after it changed to 24/7 and decided I had enough of Wes Rucker and came over to on

I used both, but completely nuked both about 3 years ago. One of the best decisions I have ever made.

I had a Genespage username but was not a regular reader or poster. I learned about SPS by seeing it in the dropdown box browser history on a computer in the McCool Hall computer lab and wondering what the hell it was.

63 come January 27th. I really like this collection of fans. I came to Mississippi State when I was 32 when, but the student treated me to like one of the other students... one of them. That meant a lot I still resonates with me today. I felt like I was part of the family from the very first day.
Starting to be a State fan late no doubt has added years to your life!

I cannot tell you why I did. I grew up in a town in East Mississippi very close to the Alabama border, where there were more Alabama and Ole Miss fans than Mississippi State fans More Bama fans than the other combined. It was hard being a Miss State fan.

If for no other reasons than your contribution to this board and you seeming like a decent human, I’m glad you did! That last part is probably why you couldn’t go Bama or Ole Miss!***
