Minnesota, Texas Tech, and Washington State* are already on the schedule.

I wouldn’t mind playing Virginia. After they rationalized State poaching their championship baseball coach by saying they are focusing on football, it would be nice to beat them.

*-I’m assuming this will count as our “power” non-con because they were in a power conference when scheduled.

Will a Power 4 opponent still be required with a 9 game SEC schedule?
Yes it will be required. And yes, there’s a decent chance Washington St will count. They let us count BYU when they weren’t a power conference team & they let Tennessee count somebody like Colorado St after Michigan backed out of a series.

Is UNLV P4 (I can't keep up)? If so I want them, it not I want Hawaii, if they are not P4, then GT, UNC, VT, UVA, Rutgers or NC State.

Hadad and Borkey said they don’t count, don’t know where info came from.!

Not to mention Washington State counts for Ole Miss this year, presumably, because Wake Forest backing out was out of their control. I would argue the collapse of the Pac-12 was outside of our control.

I think the P4 is a good thing to have because you’ll get a 5th home game against a decent opponent in the years that you only have 4 conference home games. It keeps a good 50/50 split for home and away with the 9 game conference schedule.

I personally would be fine if they only played a 10 game schedule with the 9 conference games and the one P4. Opens up a lot more prime time TV windows when you get rid of the other two utterly pointless games for each of 16 teams.

Washington St. should count. We all know they are a P4 team while technically now, they're not.

I'd like for us to pick up either UCLA or USC.
Then, either Oregon or Oregon St.
Colorado would be a fun trip and Prime will probably be gone by then anyway.
Nebraska would be one of my favorites as I have a lot of Cornhusker fans as friends.

We’ll see. I doubt anyone knows yet. But historically, the SEC has been pretty lenient with allowing exceptions. And let’s be honest, Mississippi State isn’t the reason for the P4 rule. Mississippi State vs Washington state isn’t going to draw much worse ratings than Mississippi State vs anyone else. Of course there may be a strong push from ESPN to schedule ACC teams.

Are Army & Navy P4? I know Navy is in the AAC with Memphis. Forgot who Army's conference is. I do like Penn State. That would be a nice trip to Happy Valley.
I just would like to play at those stadiums and be able to go see us a play a game there in the next 15 years but probably not happening.
