Every year during the off season we hear about the next great Gamecock. I know it's quiet but when is the last time Carolina had a true freshman standout at WR? We all would like to see this but it seems like it takes a WR a couple of years to develop.

Probably Alshon in '09 honestly. I'm interested to see what the new receivers can do but I'm keeping my expectations realistic as well.

Bennett had his moments but doesn't seem to be the primary target often enough. Not sure if that is on him for not getting separation or poor routes, etc.

Bryan Edwards had 44 catches and 590 yards and 4 touchdowns as a freshman in 2016, I believe that was best Freshman WR performance since Alshon
