What would be the reaction if Mike Kinnison were hired?

...would cream their jeans.

Most of the rest of the world would be disappointed, but relieved it wasn't Tommy.

I think it would be a great move for us.

I would be very satisfied with Kinneson.

I'll be honest with you- I would be happy with most anyone we hire, but not anyone from the current regime.

Not my first choice, but could be a great hire. I saw the other day that Kinnison has the highest winning percentage of any college baseball coach at any level. That's got to count for something.

he's not my first choice by far. Or the second or third for that matter. I would prefer him over Raffo and a few other names being kicked around. That being said, I'm confident it won't be Kinnison.

I think he'd do a great job.

It would be nice to make a little splash within the college baseball community with a big name hire, but at the end of the day I just want to win, and Kinnison has proven that he's a winner.

Byrne said that his criteria included being successful at the division one level as a coach. Later he went on to say that Raffo would still be considered even though he lacked this experience as a head coach.

I think there is a much bigger gap in football. Baseball however, I think the success he has had at Delta State could translate to some success at State. He has taken guys that most people wrote off, coached them up, and has been very successful doing this. Do I think he will get the job, no, but I think we could do much worse with some of the ones who have been named in the past. I would think Jim Tressell is a prime example of being able to cross the division barrier.

because it would mean we were on the way back to being a top 15 NCAA program. Too bad you are too big of a dumbass to realize that. Its actually harder to win in D-II than it is in Div-1.

In D-II, you have a much smaller budget, usually located in very small areas, do 100% of the work to the field, very little support from the fanbase, recruiting is so much harder- fewer people have heard of your school, recruits keep you dangling to the last second waiting on offers from the big schools....

You have no idea what you are talking about. You need to stfu and support your "3 wins minimum cause we made a bowl" cause</p>
