pull something off that clearly identifies him as among the elite college football coaches. I don't think posting 2 or 3 good seasons at MSU does that. Usually, when guys move from head coach in college to head coach in the pros, they have really done something big. Maybe if he wins the SEC West? Maybe if he goes to a BCS bowl game?
I don't know. But, I don't think having good seasons at MSU alone does the trick.
