We're gonna lose. That's a foregone conclusion with how we played last night.

What will be frustrating is even though everyone always says the most improvement is between Week 1 and Week 2, I can almost guarantee we will come out and give a carbon copy performance from Week 1. Aside from those 2 fluke wins against UT and Clemson, which feels like an eternity ago, Beamer and his staff have not shown any ability to make changes on the fly. Either in games or as the season progresses. If we suck at something in Week 1, you can just about bet your bottom dollar we're gonna suck at it in Week 12. It's a total pipe dream to think for one second that we'll make a single change from Week 1. Beamer either can't do it or won't do it.

I know you sometimes have talent deficiencies that limit what you can do, but I really don't think we are bereft of talent as last night's game would indicate. Nevertheless, coaches who can coach find ways to work around deficiencies and get the most out of what you have. Beamer just keeps doing the same old thing, week after week after week after week.

If history repeats, Kentucky will find 2-3 run plays that we just cannot stop, at all, and they will run them over and over to grind out 8-9 minute drives accumulating points in half of them. Our offense, desperately needing a “spark” will be too aggressive in passing it, and UKs stereotypical patience and discipline will stop us, putting our exhausted defense back on the field.

Before our nacho cheese even gets cold….the game will be like 7:30 left in the 4th, UK winning 23-6 and we will be doing the math knowing we are f***ed.

The frustrations will be plenty, but I fully expect:

We will start multiple drives inside our 10 yard line solely because we decided to return a kick we should have let go.

We will have multiple third (or fourth) and shorts become third and longs after false start penalties.

I actually think Sellersnwill play better. He'll make a couple passes where we say "where was that last weekend?".

But it'll be too little. UK runs on us, stuffs our run. Unless we get lucky with TO's again, this game went from a toss up to a loss to me.

I can't even imagine what the next most frustrating thing we'll see televised by this team. I certainly didn't expect to see us look as bad as we did in the opener. Not after being feed a strict diet of all things good in the off-season. Guess I'll go with on the field celebrations after the occasional good play... as if we haven't had a good play before. That seems to be a safe bet win or lose.

To me it's that Tanner is still here and 4 years ago we should have had a true AD hire someone who would have us consistently beating teams like UK and Mizzou. We're going to lose by at least 24 this weekend, and it'll look even worse.
