What's the percentage chance our game with SELA gets postponed?..

..I mean, they're gonna be evacuated Saturday or Sunday and probably not be able to return until the earliest Wednesday. Should that get pushed back until Thursday...

I say it's 50/50 right now.

What's the name of this game anyway?
But about our football game (which is in Starkville), I don't think it's postponed... Gustav will have blown its load by then.

Zero point zero.

LSU and Tulane both played games following Katrina. Unless something crazy happens like the state of LA gets wiped off the map, why would we have to cancel a game in Starkville against SELA?

of any madatory or volutary evacuation of Hammond that is going on or planned. And I don't claim to be an expert on all the evacuations. But, I am trying to keep track of it -- OJ futures and whatnot.

I know there is a lot of water around Hammond, but it is quite a ways away from the Gulf. It should not be a problem.

Some seem to be missing the point. Even though Hammond might not be evacuated, school might close due to loss of power, trees on buildings, flooding from rain, and other factors. If the players cannot assemble and practice, would it be fair to make them play a game the same week?

If Hanna were to build up and become a major hurricane it could pose a serious threat by next weekend.

Wouldn't teams do like they did when Katrina came through? Didn't they go to a close unaffected state, stay in a hotel and practice on a high school football field?</p>
