Right now you don’t. There have been games where we were getting gashed, but didn’t give up a lot of points. There have been games where we are on the field so much it isn’t a fair comparison.

However, the key for me is that we are typically better in the second half which teller me White has the ability to make adjustments. We just don’t have the talent depth nor the speed right now.

My only concern for him is the inability to tackle this year. Thought it was better last year than it was under Muschamp, but it seems we have reverted.

A year after we fire the OC and we see what our defense can do healthy and with OC that keep the defense off the field at least 50% of the game.

It doesn't bode well for the UT game. They run such tempo, the D is gonna get gassed. Throw in our offense being unable to stay on the field long enough for the D being able to take their helmets off and get a sip of water and it's gonna be a long day.

Yes, the D has had some rough moments, but has shown the ability to adjust. Mizzou jumped out out on us 17-0, but it was 17-7 at half, so well within reach. D only allowed 2 FGs in the second half. Offense only manage a FG.

The Florida game was a mess defensively, but they did regroup somewhat after the disastrous first quarter. But the problems were exacerbated by the offense not even bothering to show up. It's a team game. There are gonna be days when the offense doesn't pan out and the D knows they have to carry the load. There are gonna be days when the D doesn't pan out and the offense knows they have to carry the load. Unfortunately, for us, the offense hasn't panned out at all this season. Moreover, the offense makes zero in-game adjustments. The D seems to.

Although I do agree with Ryan Brewer, yes we are good at making adjustments but why are we not starting better on defense? Are we just not good at watching and breaking down film but are good at in game adjustments? Yes, I place a huge amount of blame on the offense and them not doing much to help at all but the defense can try and get off the field on third and long a little more often. They can tackle the guy at the line and bring him down rather than the guy get hit and break free for 5 more yards. They can also quit with the stupid penalties when you make a big play but it was only due to a penalty so therefore the other team keeps going. There is loads of talent on the D but there are to many mental mistakes and not enough controlled aggression, meaning when you touch the guy, you take him down to the ground right there.
Defense can help itself with better starts to the game also because it is clear if we get behind, we are not coming back, particularly if it is more than one score.

Tackling against Vandy was particularly abysmal. That was the first game it really jumped out to me.

DC White has shown the ability and WILLINGNESS to make adjustments which have largely been effective. The defense performed a small miracle with all the TO's after halftime vs FL. Give him more time to get the some players healthy and I think the defense is fine. Tackling does need improvement and edge defense has suffered the last few weeks but I think that is due to missing personnel.

Throw in the idea that the defense would benefit greatly from a competent offense. I think the DC gets more time.
