What was going through your mind when you saw that ball come loose on the punt return?!?! We had so many guys there. I just lost it. Oh my goodness! So good!

The first words out of my mouth were WE WIN!!
I felt the same way. I knew deep down we probably needed a first down to seal it. I didn’t feel quite as good about 3rd and 7, but felt like there would be a good chance we’d come out with a win. When Wells got the first down, I felt more relief. The fumble was definitely where I celebrated the win. And a few times since then.

I don’t blame him for trying to return it, even aggressively. DJ was struggling. But they were one big play from FG range with one timeout.

Realizing how this could’ve gone the other way makes me just want to pound another beer!

When I saw Antonio Williams fumbled the ball, my reaction was "Don't let that one Tiger recover it when there are four Gamecock players around." But luck was on our side today once I saw Emmanwori coming up with the ball. And then euphoria took over my mind and body!

Not gonna lie....

These last 2 years (personally) have been the hardest of my life. - When I knew we recovered, tears flowed for a second. - I then immediately figured we'd fumble the snap to kneel down. (Not joking) (Have you seen our luck?????) Lol.

Speaking of that 1 timeout (and not to hijack the thread) ---- but seriously that was an atrocious *COACHING* decision on our part because you tell Rattler > If it's not there and you have to scramble..... *DO NOT THROW IT AWAY* / Just take a knee right there on the spot and *FORCE* them to use their last timeout. / Same as a run play with a loss of yards. Who cares?

Glad we "went for it" so to speak but my Gosh...... where is the game clock management / and situational awareness?????? We gotta work on that. For real. It's one of my pet peeves and there have been several questionable SA moments this season. I'm sorry but that one was a head scratcher.....

I was thinking Nick jumped on that ball with a vengeance! A “no doubter” fumble recovery. Great play by Atkins to knock it loose.
