When I felt the game turn

Just me. But when we were up 7-0 and had A&M in 4th and 1 well onto their side of the field, we had a real opportunity to knock the wind out of their sails. I know it was just 1 yard, but we had them 3rd and 6 and they got 5.

If we had held them there and managed a TD, it could have really swung the game. The D still forced a punt, but A&M’s D came alive after that and shut down our offense.

It says a lot about our D that they were comfortable going for it on 4th 2x in the first quarter deep in their own territory.

Oh well. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

The game turned on three intentional grounding calls, which cost us field position, ‘three and out’s’, and a 21-7 halftime deficit. Team effort in futility.

TAM converted 4/4 on 4th down, Rattler had three intentional grounding calls in the SECOND QUARTER, OL gave up 4 sacks, dropped passes, numerous penalties, a MASH unit of new injuries/lingering older injuries……should I continue?

When your record is 2-6, you are what you are, which is a very bad team currently!

Intentional groundings were killers, particularly the first one. I couldn't argue with any of them. Surprised Rattler didn't learn from the first and second one.

After the 1st IG, DLogg should have made sure a safety valve was in place for Rattler to dump to or at least in that area. A common part of most offensive schemes. Rattler's hesitance to run/scramble and get outside the tackle box was also a big contributor.

I would say it was the IG, followed by another terrible punt from KK, compounded by the catch interference penalty. That series of events likely costed us 40 yards of field position and 7 points.

There were also a couple of dropped passes for key 1st downs by a normally sure handed XL.
He was not himself yesterday and obviously not fully recovered.

Why do you think those are worse than a sack with possible fumble or injury? That would also be loss of down.
I’m almost 67, can’t recall three intentional grounding calls in one game, much less ONE QUARTER. Not really worse than a sack, but another indication of how bad this team is right now. You can list the multiple reasons as to why!

What I will give this team and staff credit for is the continued fight, effort, and give a damn approach. Perhaps this will pay off with a few wins starting 11/4/23!
