Where is a good place to eat in downtown Athens?

Does anyone know of a sports bar in Athens for watching the Friday night ESPN game or after the game on Saturday? Also, I've heard Athen has a lot of good eating places, any suggestions?

They have awesome pizza with gigantic slices and a sports bar upstairs, but there is usually a decent wait for pizza on Friday nights.

Eat at the Five Star Day Cafe for great soul food. It's across the street from campus.

One of my favorites was Last Resort - good food and great atmosphere. They also have a fantastic brunch if you're still around on Sunday morning. If you're in the mood forreally nice, tryThe National or Five and Ten.

As far as watching games Saturday afternoon and night, just wander around downtown.There are plenty of bars, pubs, etc.,and it would be awasteto stay in one spot all dayin downtown Athens.
