Which hurts more, losing Hughes, Johnson, Prince or Hans?

I think losing the three football players hurts more, especially if Gordon comes back, which I think he will.

This year's MSU football team is SR heavy and I thought on defense that Hughes and Johnson would be the two big time players on defense in 2009 that MSU could build around.

If Gordon comes back, and Bost is as good as advertised, you would have:

PG: Bost
SG: Gordon/Stewart
SF: Ravern
PF: Osby/Johnson/Bailey
C: Varnado

Not a bad team. Definitely should compete for a NCAA bid.

Is this what I have to look forward to? MSU sports continually beating me down until I no longer care what goes on up in Starkville? MState athletics keeps providing the horse hoof to the face, and I know I should resist the urge but I keep getting pulled back in only to rinse and repeat.

I guess we were made to suffer. It's our lot in life.

GD, this board has to have the biggest collection of whiners and woe-is-me types. If you (the general you) acted like in person the way you do on this message board, you'd be unbearable to be around. If I was associated with something that made me as unhappy as some of you act, I'd have to find a new outlet.

I enjoy success as much as the next guy, but we're having a run of bad news right now and I wouldn't let it ruin my day. This too shall pass.

...NFL corners and left tackles don't come around every day at MSU.

I actually know some MSU people who do live like some of these woe-is-me posts. How can I blame them? Take last night. We all know the game we played against Memphis. Pretty much toe-to-toe. In the back of our minds (at least mine) re next year, I was holding out that J-money will stay, Osby/Johnson would adequately replace Rhodes' numbers, and our youngs will come back with one more year of experience. Swat too. Now, J-money will go, Ben gone, Hopson-no, Turner may be gone, etc. I feel like I'm standing in a burned out shell of a house wondering who left the oven on...
