I think it just means she has nothing tying her down preventing her from traveling such as kids, sick relatives she takes care of, etc.

I knew Houston Bass in college. Really good guy. But his relatives personal ad, there’s not enough money in the world.
I didn’t realize we’re that close to the same age.
I also knew Houston back when we were students at State.
