Your review, Greg, captures the ranking well. My sense is that Stanford and Lehigh will bring the best match-ups. I wasn't familiar with Oklahoma's total line-up but they will be bringing a strong team to Happy Valley.

There's another dual that, unfortunately, we won't get to see if it happens. Cael can take the starting lineup and put them against all the non-starters and redshirts. $100 says this would end up being closer than a lot of the scheduled duals.

Yeah, they had a better lineup than I realized. Honestly, I went looking to research this year's opponents and figured since I was doing that, I might as well rank 'em.

There will be some big time matches vs Lehigh! (seymour, crookham, stanich right off the bat) rozynski, bringola, JT davis, nate taylor... this is a good test and a fun match... I think the final score will not be indicative of the strength of the match however... PSU will win this one big but some of these matches will be very tough!

It is good to gain experience wrestling tough competition that forces you to chase them.

Agreed... Seymour, crrokham and stanich wont run though... i think they will bring the fight to us!
It isn't necessarily running. Lehigh will hand fight and wrestle hard, but a Lehigh personality trait is to run their offense from circling, sliding away from the handfighting looking to attack as the opposition steps into their attack. If the opposing wrestler does not chase it will appear as though Lehigh is wrestling in reverse.

agreed ... for Lehigh in general. Stanich, Bringola will handfight... but they will look to get into their offense but agreed that probably 70% of their team will counter wrestle

Oklahoma football, ranked #6 scored 6 points today.

Can their wrestling team score 6 team point at the PSU match?
Not unless Soldano hits one of his weird moves from bottom, or Cael gives some guys a break after Bill Farrell the week before. Or they sneak Mark Hall into the lineup.

Oklahoma has a decent lineup. 149 Gioffre, 157 Hipolito, 165 Kellar, and 197 Parker are all ranked top 12 by Intermat. 4 other guys are ranked. Parker made the blood round last year. I'd still expect a shutout.

Even if they put Mark in the lineup. At 174 past prime Mark against prime time and newly crowned world silver medalist Levi, Mark isn't putting any points on the board for Oklahoma.

Mark has been at 86 kg / 189 lb for 4 years. He's not making 174.

I remember wrestling nomad (who I can’t stand) saying while Mark was in college he thought Mark’s senior career would be short lived and we wanted to get into coaching right away. It annoyed me to hear that as I felt Mark would go on to senior world medals but as it turns out a broken clock is right twice a day

Not beating Barr at 197 and 184 is not much of a pushover either.
I feel like Connor is really good and wouldn't be surprised at anything... but I don't see him beating out Rocco or Barr so his best bet would be to get on the Anthony Cassar regimen bc I think he would beat our Cole !

Seyko still thinks Mirasola is getting better and will bear Barr but no mention of Barr getting better! LOL
It doesn't surprise me. Zach openly touted Conner as a future 4xer, before he even hit our practice room. Now he "might" never be our starter. Zach's middle initial is H, for hyperbolic
