Every so often I'll see an intriguing headline on a Google News search for "Gamecocks" but when I click on it, it's just a video by some guy named Andrew Lyon of the Locked On Gamecocks podcast. It looks like these things are filmed in his living room or something, so I take he's just a regular dude and not someone in the know?

The "Locked On" brand is a network of podcasts. So, they are usually somewhat in the know in order to use that brand name. There is a "Locked On" for almost every professional and college team of note. I have watched Lyon a couple of times. Not the most engaging personality, but has some decent information at times.

Think he got his feet wet covering Carolina for Sports Illustrated IIRC. He's a bit of a know it all when he talks. I can only watch his stuff in spurts because of it

Well, he posted on Twitter yesterday that people aren't talking enough about how there is a realistic path to 4-0.

Obviously not credible.

Actually, we will need 3-1 start to have any shot at a successful season. You have got to get the gimmes against Old Dominion and Akron. Kentucky is beatable even though that game is on the road. The one most don't think we have a shot at is the LSU game. It's at home and LSU loses a Heisman Trophy quarterback and their receivers. That is a we'll see game as I am not really sure what LSU has either. After that the schedule gets real tough. Those first 4 games may be the only ones we have a shot at winning.

Edit: Well, I forgot about Vandy and Wofford. Have to get those.

There is other talk about lsu as a team just not being into it, I don’t know all the details but the defense was lacking last year and they’re in a lull recruiting wise up front which has been a staple for lsu!
