I believe Bama has a better profile though and deserves to be in over SMU, but SMU gets the spot because that’s who people seem to want in.

I think SMU is in. You can’t punish a team that was 11-1 in a power 4 conference for playing in their conference championship game
SMU. Some team might turn down a championship game next year if it's Bama.
The format is ********. It should be the 12 best team's period. We are not going to get that. The BCS got it right 98% of the time. Let's get rid of the committee and go back to BCS and take the top 12. Then seed by rankings. Did any of you see the committee sitting on their Coronation Chairs last night eating, drinking and acting like they are the kings of the world. Screw them.
Been hearing this a lot and have a hard time picturing it. Lots of blustering going on everywhere.
It is sh*t in that Boise & Arizona State will get byes. That needs to end immediately. But who cares if the “best 12” didn’t get in? 11 of the best 12 will. And does it really matter that 2 of Miami, Alabama or SMU will get left out? I mean who cares if these flawed teams don’t make it?
I don’t care how many teams you expand the playoffs to, someone is getting left out over a comparable team. There’s still only 4-5 teams that have a chance, the rest is just ESPN programming.
