Considering the way Leach teams recruit, I’ll always cut the DC a little slack. I’m sure Arnett would love to trade one or two of our 18 scholarship receivers for a couple extra LBs

I’m not a huge fan. It seems to me that we miss way too many tackles and it’s because we seem to want to bump or knock guys down instead of wrapping up. And it seems we have a bunch of times where we are looking at the sideline when the ball is snapped and not getting lined up.

We just fly right past instead of focus on the thigh pads and break down and make the tackle.

Ya can’t play 10 yards of the line of scrimmage when they have it at their 2 yr line. R we that slow in the db field?

I’m not impressed with the talent. Pass and run defense is ok but he puts them in a bad position occasionally. Their last TD was a prime example. We blitzed but left a guy uncovered on the goal line, that was a terrible play if it was by design.

Rewind to after his 1st season and all the posts on here about paying the man, lock him down before a bigger program steals him etc etc. And a thread a few weeks ago about whether we should consider him as a head coach if the opportunity comes

Weird time for this thread. Defense was great last night. Only had one bad drive, the first one, then dominated from then on.

Our D gave up one scoring drive that wasn't a turnover. What are you talking about?

Thinks that Arnett is worth a crap as our DC?

if not for our offense gift wrapping turnovers to Arizona, our defense would have held Arizona to 7 points. I was pretty pleased with our defense after the first drive. Defense was in the backfield all night, caused turnovers and the biggest thing is I don’t remember any dumb penalties that kept drives going. And honestly with the time difference, I thought we would play pretty sloppy on defense but we seemed pretty discipline last night.

Saturday marked the 22nd time in 26 games under Arnett that MSU has held its opponent under 200 yards rushing. It was the 11th time that Arnett and the Bulldogs have kept a team from eclipsing the century mark on the ground as well.

The most overlooked stat by our fans. They also did a great job of adjusting after that first drive just like they usually do.
