I'd actually be very interested to see this matchup. I wouldn't be surprised if the result went either way.
I’d take the guys. Any halfway decent male high school basketball player can dunk with ease. Just way more athletic.

I mean there's more to basketball than just being athletic and dunking, but it does help. I'd take a really good high school boys team over any college team for sure. I would expect a WNBA team and a high school boys team to play at least a competitive game though.

Bad bet. Clay can choose any high school team he wants. There are some championship teams that have legit NBA and high major talent on them.

Maybe it would be better to make the bet based on size of the championship school and pick a state.

I’d take the WNBA team over any state’s A, AA or AAA champ.

High school boys would dominate, assuming no tranny stuff.

Nah. Clay’s a smart dude. He worded it exactly the way he wanted to. You can’t just take any state basketball champion - it would have to be one with real D-I talent. And not just one player, but multiple.

Well that's wrong. They're playing against women.

Easy way to try and make the bet when you know a WNBA team and a State Championship boys team is never going to play each other- even less when he has a mystery team in mind.

That is true, but it doesn't change the point. Even if it's the very best high school basketball team in the country, it's still a high school basketball team. I'd wager there are likely numerous high school boy's teams that would beat a WNBA teams.

On the other hand, if you made a dream team of the very best high school players in the country, they would get absolutely smoked and vaporized by a team comprised of NBA backups. It would be a laughable mismatch.

I've never watched a WNBA game, but thanks to the Gamecocks, I have watched quite a few women's games at the highest levels of college. In my opinion, the vast majority of boy's HS state champions would totally dominate that game. The boys would grab 90% of the rebounds, get about 30 blocks, and would score inside at will. If the women can manage to shoot about 70% from the 3-point line and/or play a single-A champion team somewhere that doesn't have a boy on the team over 6-4 or something like that, then maybe they'd have a chance.
