Sorry, this took place at the end of my vacation, and I neglected to set up a thread in advance for it.
PSU had two verbals participating:
- Tyler Kasak (145)
- Josh Barr (170)
Kasak came in ranked #1, and was facing #2 Beau Mantanona (headed to Michigan). After a scramble in the 1st period, Mantanona got the TD. Then he ran a bar and a half, and got the fall
Barr also came in ranked #1, and was facing #2 Rocco Welsh (PA, headed to Ohio State). They had a nice match at this year's Fargo, and this was the feature match of the event. Period 1 ended with Barr up 2-1. Period 2 ended with Welsh up 4-3. Barr got an escape in Period 3, but they were wrestling college folk rules, and Welsh had 1:09 in riding time, so he ended up wining the match 5-4.
