Lots of schools that are DI, and successful DI schools. close to the state that siphons off recruits. Maybe not necessarily in state schools, but you have NC next door who is emerging with Butch Davis, Clemson being fairly successful in state, TN as a neighbor, GA is next door, NC State that has been competetive the past several years, and Florida is not that far away.
