Why is Shane not telling what’s really going on with Juice.

He says, Juice practiced and looked fantastic. Then the next breath says he’s out this week. If he’s not going to play then why give him reps at practice? If he’s out this week why even risk next week. This whole thing sounds and looks like they are hiding something to protect his draft stock. Just my opinion

Our offensive could really use some Juice.
XL and Juice on the field at the same time is a difference maker.

Also probably pretty hard to just come in and play your first week back from being out of football shape for 3+ months.

It could be a J. Brooks situation. It's none of our business. He'll play when he's ready to play. Beamer is likely protecting him and I'm good with that.

Rest him for Clemson? :)

As I stated on 10/9. He is being rested for Clemson, since he has been cleared and already re injured the foot, once this season, caution is being used, so that he can play against Clemson and is available for that game.

He said last night on the call in show that "he's got a few things going on". Who the hell knows. Sounds like it's more than just a foot.

Agreed. That's why I believe it could be a J.B. type situation. I am fine not knowing the details and protecting Juice. Hope that whatever the issue, we see him on the field soon.

That's all well and good but hope we don't game plan around him if that's the sitch.

My guess is there's a chance he plays again next year. I think Beamer is trying to make sure it's here..

IMO smart thing to do. Make opponents have to factor him in

It would be better for Shane to be silent.

Not long ago, we didn't bother the coach and get so involved in all this extra, and interview people who have nothing to say to us.

Football is really a sport that transformed into a huge dramatic production and soap opera.

Maybe he is being disciplined internally for doing something stupid? He is a college kid after all with money. Just speculation.

Might Wells be a candidate for a Medical Redshirt?
  • Suffer an injury that is deemed “season-ending”
  • Their injury must occur before the halfway point of the season
  • Not participate in more than 30% of the season’s games

I'm starting to think he's sitting out the remainder of the season and only getting reps to be able to train for the combine.

Outside of crazy conspiracies, he can only play in one more game to retain the RS and come back next year. So it makes sense that he might play against Clem. Beamer will never say it. Juice will never say it. But it’s literally the only logical outcome. My bet is on him playing against Clem, beating the brakes off them, winning the bowl game and announcing he’s coming back.

Everyone is saying Juice is holding out to preserve a redshirt if he decides to come back. But doesn't he have a Covid year? This is his 4th year. He played 2 at JMU and 2 at USC. So why do we keep repeating redshirt when he qualifies for a Covid year.

I was told you had to satisfy your RS to get the Covid year. Not sure, but makes sense to me. Similar to medical RS.

I still wonder how different this season would have been with a healthy Juice and X all year.
Will be a season of ifs, like the 2014 season. If X was healthy, if the OL was healthy, if the coaches had just rolled with Mario from the beginning…

I was going to post his IG as well. I hope we get to see one game with a healthy O-line, healthy SR with a healthy Juice on one side and XL on the other.
