I can't watch the national news anymore b/c it makes me physically ill. I come to the sixpack board to see what is going on and get physically ill. So, now Palmiero is pissed? How long do we have to endure this **** with polk? Much more of this and I will start to view his *** with contempt and I was a fan of his even though I totally disagreed with alot of his methods. I gave a great effort in overlooking the fact that he signed good baseball players that were great students while lsu was winning national title after national title with great baseball players that juiced and probably majored in basket weaving. I overlooked the fact that he apparently would rather beat his nuts with a bat than teach bunting. And I am tired of every big name recruit and every coach that has a little success at MSU acting like we owe them in blood. Cohen vs. Raffo. Proven winner and builder vs. an unknown who can only be judged by what he was associated with while he was here. Which was a once proud program that has continued to struggle to make the sec tournament and often couldn't do that. Why should MSU be strong armed like this? Nah, I think I'm done with polk now. <17> his ***.

Polk is out. He doesn't matter, no matter what comes out of his mouth. Did you miss where we hired the best available candidate in the country? Anybody with any sense knows we did the right thing. Even the media guys who think Raffo deserved the chance said we made an outstanding hire afterwards.
was that the Palmeiro family even attended a game. Sounds like just "blind" loyalty to Polk and whatever he says without any independent assessment of the situation. No way anyone could say Raffo was as qualified as Cohen. Even when McMahon was annointed by the great one last time, he had a much better resume than Raffo currently does.

that poster on Gene's page (who I think was Rafael's wife) said that they would love for Patrick to follow his dad's steps and play at MSU. You would think that we would sign a high school guy drafted in the 22nd round, that wanted to play for us, whose dad is a legend here, and doesn't have to get a scholarship because the family can obviously pay tuition. Only at MSU would we not sign this guy. Obviously, we have to get this guy, right?
I've seen him and talked to him at a couple of football games over the past two years. I really don't believe he had anything to do with that post. Ripping Palmeiro for something he probably didn't do, particularly after all he has given the university, really serves no purpose...particularly if his son reads sixpack.
