With all the changes going on (new scoreboard, new sound system, band sitting in the end zone, etc.), did we luck up and get a new PA announcer or are we stuck with the same old whiny nasally pitched voice we've been hearing for years?

he is going to have that job as long as he wants it and he loves doing it. I don't see him stepping down anytime soon.

announcer then I ought to be able to take Angelina Jolie away from Brad Pitt. I 'd rather watch old women' womens syncronized under water basket weaving contests than have to listen to HF's nazal ***.

he's different but that's what makes him good as far as I'm concerned. He's a good guy.

I'm a Flick fan as well. I think he adds more to the game than he takes away, especially at the Hump.

His class probably helps you get a job more so than any 1 other class on campus.

........at McComas Hall when I was a student at MSU, and he's a really nice man. As a P.A. announcer at football games? Nothing personal, but his voice has always made me want to puke. It's even worse that I've had numerous oppoisng teams' fans tell me over the years that they couldn't believe we let someone with such a bad voice handle our P.A. It's become a source of embarrassment.

For some reason, Hank seems to fit in better in the Hump. It's sort of the same thing for Jack Cristil. These days he sounds old and confused when he calls football games, but he absolutely comes to life calling the basketball games.

Write his name in all caps and it looks like rule 17. His joke. He is hilarious. It's too bad that the stadium PA announcer gig does not give him the opportunity to use his humor. I don't mind the nasally voice because if you think about it, that's what makes it possible to hear him over the constant background noise at the stadium.
I can look back at the 2 classes I took from him and more than any other class say those helped me make more money.

His voice doesn't bother me that much. But, when he yells. "First Down! Bulldogs!" just because we are in the first play of our drive after the oppoent scores and kicks off to us, it really irritates me. He needs to understand the difference between a first down that is earned and one that just starts a drive.

they are not going to fire the guy as announcer because Greg doesn't like his voice. I don't know that Greg doesn't like it, but even if he doesn't, they aren't going to fire a guy that basically hasn't done anything wrong.

I don't think Greg is on some mission to completely change everything for the sake of change.

A lot of Bulldog fans including myself were confused at football games for several years until (and maybe even including) 2007, and as far as coming to life during basketball season is concerned, MSU has been more successful in that sport than in football.

Flick (who was also one of my profs) is no Facenda. However, he is a good football PA announcer and a better basketball PA announcer.
