I’m thinking he wins his 16th Mustard Belt (8th consecutive), but his record of 76 hotdogs eaten will still stand after the day. I’m think he’ll eat 67, 4 more than his 63 last year.

He really might just be the greatest American of all time!

My wife insists on watching the contest every year. I like George Shea and the contestant introductions.

Your money has to be on him. If you catch him in an off day, you’ll still need to eat 60 hot dogs to win. I think only one person besides Chestnut had topped 60 and it happened once. I think. Either way, Chestnuts the only one that can do that on the regular.

Personally I find it disgusting and cant watch it...if I wanted to see people stuff their faces and have food falling out of their mouth and drinks drooling down their chins I'd just go over to my in-laws for dinner

I saw the highlights, and I admit I had to stop watching.
It's just gross.
Its more about the atmosphere and celebration imo... with a touch of cheesy. The best part is the introductions. Some years are better than others but it kinda kicks off the 4th... for me anyway. The competition itself isn't much of a competition. I could take it or leave it but its all good.
