Will Miles Sanders become the most durable ex-PSU RB to play in the NFL?

He seems to have that magic ability to run well and avoid serious injury.

Doubt it - he seems injury prone. Suhey is a good name though as is Franco.

He needs to stop fumbling and then be healthy enough to stay on the field for 17 games. Which I do not believe he has

Durability today vs past greats is tough to compare. Guys are so much bigger and collisions more violent today. Plus the weight training puts more strain on joints now compared to then.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni gave an update on running back Miles Sanders‘ condition during his Monday press conference.

Sirianni confirmed that Sanders broke a bone in his hand during Sunday’s 34-10 drubbing of the Giants. Sanders went for tests on Monday to see if he would be able to play through the injury, but Sirianni said that he has been ruled out for their Week 17 game against the Washington Football Team.

Too bad. He's been running real well. He's averaging 5.5 ypc. That's fantastic in the NFL. On the other hand, he sure has been injury prone this year. His durabiity is really a question mark. ;)

Which explains why Austin Ekeler, who isn’t built like Najee Harris missed his first game yesterday due to covid I guess.

Gary Brown had a nice, long career as well, though not necessarily the feature back that some others mentioned were.

I didn't mention Sam Gash because he wasn't a featured back, but he was a brutal blocker, good pass-catching FB, and an animal on special teams. He played for 12 seasons in the NFL. That's durability for any RB. He also made 2 Pro Bowls and was second team All-Pro twice. Not a bad career.
