Not likely. Those 2 programs always seem to find the next Saban-like coach good enough to keep us under their heels. Kind of crazy to think the last 2 MSU coaches to beat BAMA and KY in their respective sports were......Croom & Howland.

Now that Saban is gone we might have a chance to beat Alabama again. I won’t hold my breath on ever beating Kentucky as long as Calipari is coaching.

Money, money, money! Both are the New York Yankees of old. Coaching is easy when your talent is the best. I always think of these games as David vs Golliath or the 1980 USA hockey game. A win against either only happens when we play lights out and they have an average or worse game. We played well last night and they had a tough first half. At least it made for an entertaining game.

I remember well walking out of Scott field after that epic battle in 94 and telling my friend, "we will never beat them again if we didn't tonight." Then along came 96.

We may get them a time or two now that Bama is starting over at HC. We may get Kentucky when Cal retires. But....even then we will find one or two victories before they right the ship(s) and reel off decades of wins.
