he said that we hadn't made a push with Diaz- yet. Now, that doesn't mean that we will or won't.

As far as promoting from within, I think he's assuming that there won't be anyone like a Jon Tenuta at the coaching convention for some reason. We may very well promote from within if we had to, but I don't think it's going to come to that. I think worst case scenario is that we have to hire Brick Haley, which is actually a good thing in my opinion.

Also, right after he said that, he said we may hire someone after the coaching convention. So, in other words, we don't know.

I think Wardlaw is going to have something about the DC tommorrow maybe, but we'll see.

Everybody from last year's defensive staff is sort of tainted to me, but is there anybody who would be considered a viable candidate? Or if we promote from within is it a clear signs that things aren't going our way?

That would be the only choice. I am not saying it would be my choice but it would be the only one that makes sense.

can we not just say David Turner? Its obvious that is who it would have to be.

Melvin and Hughes are on the staff for one reason: to recruit.

"Nobody worth a **** is going to come here as DC as long as Dan Mullen is ready to take the first available flight to Gainesville."
