Has anybody heard exactly what his injury is and if he'll be back this year. Quite frankly If I were him and a re-injury is a real concern, I wouldn't risk my health for this dumpster fire.

Supposedly he will probly be back for USM. OM for sure. This is according to Steve who would not rule him out for T8&4 but said highly unlikely. He said he practiced a little last week and was much more active this week.

Of course he will be back if he can go, especially since we can get to bowl eligibility with USM and Ole Miss at home. Ya'll talk about the younger generations being pvssies, but these are the questions ya'll ask?
You're talking in generalities and I'm asking about specifics.

I don;t think you keep him off the field if he's healthy. It's just who he is.

Arnett did say that they are evaluating his return for the TAMU game.

He told one of the commentators that he will undoubtedly be ready for the EB. Just heard it during re-watch (I'm a masochist)

No idea what the injury is though

What, is he some kind of warrior or something?

He shouldn't take another snap here.
The QB's in that OM / aTm game both took a hell of a beating. I was just saying if his doctor told him he could play but a re-injury could be bad and would possibly have lasting effects....he really needs to think about what he's doing. IMO

I have to agree. If we really stood a chance to stop Ole Miss from scoring, I might have him play quarterback that game, but I’m afraid he would get even more injured. I wouldn’t play Parsons in that game either. I would just play Wright and deal with it. Their offense is too good for us to be able to hold them for 4 Quarters.

He should play if he given the ok to play and I suspect he will play if given the chance.

Here’s what’s going to happen. Will is going to come back for the Egg Bowl and throw for 500 yards and five touchdowns, including one in the final seconds to lead us to a 38-35 victory. And the fan base will still be pissed at him because Keenum will cry tears of joy in the locker room and sign Arnett to an extension and a big raise.

Some people in this thread have lost their damn minds or just don't have a clue how college athletics works. You play to win the game this week. If Will's ready by Saturday, he'll play. If he's ready for USM, he'll play. If he's ready for Mississippi, he'll play. No "protect from injury" or "develop Parson for next year" involved. It's not complicated. If Will's ready to play, he'll play.

Yeah arnett will play whoever he can to save his job...maybe. Although parson is exactly skills we have been wanting in a qb since dak left.

Agree. But he’s a very raw true FR. A healthy Will, with a short yardage package with Parson or Wright, gives us the best chance to win.

With arnett who knows. I'm not sure what gives us the best chance to win.
