I get it, but...do we really want CRT making another coaching hire?
Ideally, no. But we might be at the point now where it'll cost us more in the long run to not fire him than it would to fire him.
It may just be a gamble we need to take.
As long as fans remember just how big of a gamble they are taking.
I'm truly torn on it, TBH. The next 2 seasons are going to be a wash anyway, IMO. And I honestly wonder if it really would do that much more damage. We don't have some great basketball history that we're trying to get back to. We've always basically been mediocre or less.
But at the same time, I recognize that it's time that there is a change.
It's simply time to move on. The standard of what we will accept in MBB is dominating mbb more than the desire to improve.
It takes drastic action to climb out of quicksand, which is where we are right now. We need someone to jerk us out. Frank has shown us he can lift us just a little but we slide back in.

My worry is that fan apathy will go past the point of no return if we don't make a change soon.
Nothing breeds confidence as a player is going to the foul line than a coach yelling “what the hell are you doing.”
Frank will be mad about the player getting fouled near the sideline when he thought the player should have been at mid court and was out of position. I partcularly like the “you’re an f’n embarrassment“ yell he gives to players. I guess it works sometimes as they take the approach of “I’ll show you“ to Frank. But not a good long term strategy.

I think that's definitely the case for some. For others, I think they're staying away to force a change that -- let's be honest -- should've happened last year. But if they don't get it THIS year, they might stay away for good. JMHO.
