I think he was referring to a stipend rather than outright pay for play, but your sentiment is spot on for me.
Pocket money is what PSU paid Joe for the revenue he produced for the university.
It's a disgrace they still refuse to properly honor him.
The way the entire matter was handled....has provided a blueprint for every university to avoid. Smucks...gypsies, tramps and thieves...from One term Tommy to OAG,PSP, and PSUBOT. Despicable human beings. May they all rot in hell.

With Joepa at the helm Penn State had one of the Greatest coaches ever. If there would have been a playoff back in the day, we might have 6 or 7 National Championships. When Joe was hired as head coach it was a Great day in Penn State history.
Agree with all the posts above, I don't recognize the game we called "college football", I'm not sure Joe would either.
