Just being honest as a Phillies fan. I do not think the Astros will sweep the Phillies like they did both previous postseason opponents. I also think the Phillies will lose more games in this series than they did in each of their previous series. Despite the fact that I really don't know how to feel about the end result, with the way they have put it together this postseason it's hard for me to simply count out the Phillies in the end. I just hope they lay-off does not stifle the batting momentum. Should be a tough and good series.

Houston has a deeper staff. Nola and wheeler are aces, but after that Ranger? Noah? Falter? versus Verlander, Valdez, Javier who are all three dealing this postseason, plus McCullers. Only potential issue is they only have 1 lefty on their roster (unless they call someone up). Bullpen though, I like Avarado and Dominguez, it's just getting through Hand or Robertson or Brogdon to get there

Astros D is better, and it's not close

Phils I think have better bats

Phils are hotter right now and Harper is playing out of his mind.

I like phils in 6

Anything can happen in a short series but Houston has better starting pitching, a superior and more reliable bullpen, better defense and perhaps as good an offense. We’ll see.

Too many days off before it starts hurts the Phillies since the Astros have more recent WS experience. I'm not sure why but I find myself rooting for Dusty Baker to win one as a manager.

Agreed. Anything can happen. Momentum is a hell of a thing though

Phillies in 6. Astros have better pitching, but the Phillies have a superior batting lineup and seem destined.

The Astros are much like Penn State…sentenced to life for prior transgressions. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m a National League fan. My heart is with the Phillies. There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Phillies have an edge in hitting. If those bats continue to stay hot they win the World Series.

The Astro’s are defensively better in the infield and outfield, not even close. I also believe their #3 & #4 pitchers Lance McCullers Jr. and Cristian Javier are slightly better than Ranger Suarez or Noah Syndergaard.

Except that there were no real transgressions with Penn State.

Both teams are riding high on momentum... but the phillies more so as they simply aren't as good a team (and I felt way back that they could win 100 as the talent is there)... so this layoff probably hurts them a bit more. The stros are loaded in all categories and they've been there before. Nola is good but Verlander is in another zone. We find a way to bewat him, i think we take this thing.

So as a betting man i have the A's in 5. As a fan... the A's in 7. As a dreamer who buys into the anything can happen adage... Phils in 6. Wheeler over V 3-2. And yeah, Harper wins it with 3 run blast in 8th.

Hell, I'm calling it now. 4 sport sweep this year. Flyers and Sixers round it out.
I will add that the Union (you know, that 5th sport thingy) are only two wins away from winning the league. I'll sign up for a clean sweep of five.

Astros in 6. But the Phils get to Verlander at least once to give them hope and to keep the whole series at a high interest level. Sometimes prior experience helps, and I think it will help the Astros here.
