That’s only 20 Individual titles. Can anyone beat that? I know we will sometime in March.

Would an all-star team made up of 2010-2020 wrestlers from other teams make it close?

I think Brooks and Q would be a toss up. Two different styles. Q had a knack for coming up big on the biggest stages. Brooks I think has a better gas tank.

I'm taking AB over Q today (with the benefit of recency bias). When his PSU career is done, it will be a slam dunk. I don't know if international factors into it, but once it's all said and done, he could go down as the most accomplished PSUer of all time. He's that good.

Varner won in 09 and 10. How about J'den Cox and his 3 titles?
Mark Perry was at Iowa in the 00s but brother Chris won a couple titles for Oklahoma State at 74, do you mean Chris? Does Zahid get a look?
What about IMar over Deiringer, although IMar won his titles at 57?

Mark Hall and Cenzo on the bench is tough to swallow, but I don't know where you'd put them.

Ruth would dismantle Chris Perry. Perry was, maybe, the most defensive wrestler I have ever watched. He was technically sound but would not have been able to keep up with Ruth’s pace and scoring.

Are you stating that Perry is a bad selection, or just that Ed would hammer Perry? I have nothing vested in Perry, nor does jbeldingk, I assume. Who would you put at 74 for the non-PSU team?

I’m simply stating that Ruth would have his way with him.

I agree AB is great but his title was 21’, for sake of the 10 year period I’d have to go with Q.

Ruth is my all time favorite PSU wrestler and gets my vote for the best PSU wrestler that I have ever seen. Some people try to diminish his career because they misattribute his calm demeanor and apparent ease of victories as just getting by on talent alone. NO ONE dominates at that level like that on talent and I'm sure that if you were to ask the coaches and teammates, I'm sure we'd find that he busted his butt to make things look that easy.

I think AB will end up having the better career, but the 10 year period swings it to Q.

I agree I think Ed is the best college wrestler from PSU also. I get David was the vocal leader and the face of program and I love David but ED was a bad ***

Not to nitpick, but '10-'20 is 11 years. Might make a difference with RBY and Nick if you end it on '19.
Question - is there any consideration on the weight when I guy wrestled more than 1 in his career? Do you get to pick either weight or is it the highest weight they wrestled or the weight they wrestled the most bouts?

For me the weight class didn’t matter as long as they won a title or competed a full season there. It’s fantasy lineup making so almost anything goes.

Can any other program send out a national champ at every single weight with an all-decade team?

I’m not too familiar with other programs but I know Iowa won a lot of NC in the 80s & 90s. OK St won a lot in the 40s & 50s. My bet would be that only those two would have a shot at it.
