USM played hard and had a six point lead in the 2nd half, but couldn't put it away. Memphis had their best FT shooting game of the year.

During pre-game, USM came out for warm ups and Memphis was using both ends of the court. While the Memphis players were clearing one end, someody said something about somebody's momma and the trash talkng ensued. It was the usual "get up in each other's face but not really do anything". A lot of "whyIoughtas".
