”ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Commanders disciplined a handful of players for violating a league rule about drinking on a team plane, but the league will take no further action, a source confirmed to ESPN on Friday.

The NFL sent a memo to every team Friday afternoon from commissioner Roger Goodell, reminding them of the rule and that any violations would result in "significant discipline." After the Tennessee Titans' win over the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, Titans offensive coordinator Todd Downing was arrested for DUI early Friday.

Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke was among the handful of players shown on video with alcohol following Monday's win at Philadelphia. On the team plane, players mimicked Minnesota's celebration with its quarterback Kirk Cousins by placing chains around Heinicke's neck. He was shown holding Busch Light beer.

On Tuesday morning, Washington coach Ron Rivera called the league to inform them his disciplinary plans. He then addressed it in a team meeting. It's uncertain what disciplinary action he took.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said, "The league reviewed the matter this week and we are satisfied with the discipline administered by the club. There will be no further action taken by the league."

The Commanders did not supply the alcohol, a source said.”

This happened after WTF defeated the previously undefeated Iggles. Come on, WTF. Act like you’ve been there before, even if you haven’t. And I’m no beer drinker (Eewwwww!), but Busch Light?

A league rule. A Titans assistant coach got busted Friday morning for DUI in Nashville, after flying in from Green Bay, and they’re looking into whether or not he started drinking on the plane.

They used a plane to get from Philly to DC?? Was there even enough time to drink a beer?? Take the train and drink all you want.
This was my initial thought as well!! They flew back?? Wouldn't it take more time to get to the airport, thru security, bags loaded, wait to take off, land, get the bags off the plan onto the bus back to the WTF facility? its a 3 hour drive? But then again, that part of 95 sux balz...

I'm not talking about professionals like you and I. 🍻 I'm talking about NFL sissy QB'S. 🤣
I once drank a 6-pack of Fosters on a boat ride from the dock to a camping spot about a mile away. As we were slowing down to pull close to the unloading spot my brother asked me for one. I told them I was drinking the last of that 6 pack. He just blanked stared at me and said, “You’re a f&#*ing machine.” That was about 25 years ago. The machine has slowed down quite a bit since then.

Hmmm, plane landed at 2:07 and he was pulled over at 2:30. Maybe, just maybe, there was some consumption in the air.

Thanks for the confirmation on the times, Bernard. I checked and your reporting is correct.

My mother once decided to count how many beers my father drank over the course of a day when they were dating. My mother hated how much my father drank and had no reason to tell this story other than to tell us just how much he drank. I never saw her have an alcoholic drink in her life. She said that the day she counted, he drank 60 beers. I’m assuming this started in the bars around noon and went until 3 or 4 in the morning. Which is an absolutely ungodly rate and hard to believe unless you saw him when he was much older regularly put down a case of beer under the tree in the yard on a Summer Sunday afternoon and carry on about his day. Was he an alcoholic? Obviously. Did he believe so? No he would say, because he only drank beer and alcoholics drink whiskey. People can find a way to justify anything they do if they don’t want to change it.

Andre the Giant once admitted to David Letterman that he consumed 119 12-ounce beers in a single sitting. However, former wrestler Mike Graham stated that Andre actually reached 156 beers in one sitting. This was confirmed in an episode of Legends of Wrestling by "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and Michael Hayes.

Wade Boggs was 190 lbs and this was Dre the Giant with a 12 oz. beer in hand. But it's nuts either way.
