I had braces for part of my "career". My comically large mouth guard was to protect the soft tissue in my mouth from the braces.

I wish. I hated when my knee pads started flopping underneath my pants. I can’t think of a time where they did much for me. Thigh pads, sure, but knee pads never seemed to stay in place.

At one point, I saw one of our DBs put a mouthpiece in his mouth, while a second mouthpiece dangled from his facemask. I fail to see the advantage of a mouthpiece dancing around in front of your eyes while you try to track a ball.

Same as all the idiots I see in the grocery store with Covid masks partially covering their mouth but pulled away below their nose. It's usually the ones too large to walk so they have to ride the grocery getter scooter
