I just saw where Maholm is getting the nod against the Yankees tomorrow. Has anybody seen him pitch this year? I read that he has a 5-5 record with a 4.05 ERA. Not the best of stats, but I'm well aware of the supporting cast of suckasses that the Pirates normally have in the starting lineup which is why I like to see a Bucs pitcher in action before developping an opinion. Here's to hoping the Yanks stay hot,especially against former State pitching.

Before I get blasted, the last part was strictly in jest as I pull against any ex-Rebel while playing the Yankees and cussed Beam like a drunk sailor when he didn't produce in the pinstripes.</p>

He's not pitching bad at all, this year or last, just gets very little run support

I don't know the exact stats, but he has been throwing really well in his last 7 or so starts.

Looks like last 7 go something like this:
3-0 w/ 3.22 era 26k 9bb.

Not bad with that ****** run support cast.

He is one of their better pitchers, if not their ace.

When he is eligible to become a free agent, I think he will be highly sought after.

Nice. I just caught a few of the stats on his line, and it looked solid knowing the people he has trying to score runs. The few times the Bucs have been on Tv, he wasn't pitching. Luckily the Yanks have seen tough pitching the past week with the entire boston staff and Kazmir 3 nights ago. Is he more of a groundball guy?

In case you missed it.. He went 8 innings, 2 ER (both in the 7 inning), 1 walk, 4 K's...

ERA down to 3.93 and he is in line for the win.

I watch it on and off on the gametracker. I didn't know if the runs were his or not, but 6 scoreless was big to start it off. Helluva start from him tonight. He gets a tip of the cap from cosmo.
