Trost said the Yankees had discussed possible criminal charges against Castignoli with the district attorney's office.

"We will take appropriate action since fortunately we do know the name of the individual," he said.

I know these teams have bad blood between them, but criminal charges? Really? I know that Guliani (sp?) cleaned up the city alot, but aren't there more important real criminal activities for the city DA to pursue?

...than have the "legend of the buried t-shirt" hanging over the stadium for decades to come. And a colossal waste of money? ...yeah, probably by the contractor whose employee did it. I imagine the cost will be skimmed from his next draw.

It took about five hours of drilling Saturday to locate the shirt under 2 feet of concrete
what a collasal waste of time and money...but i guess when you are the evil empire you can afford such trivial things.

Honestly how much money do you really think the Yankees wasted on 5 hours drilling? Couple hundred bucks? come on now

There may be a pair of Ron's old skid-marked jockey shorts buried under the concrete that is causing the curse on our baseball program.

According to an interview just on, the cost to remove the jersey was $50,000.

Stupid guy for blabbing about what he did, and stupid yankees for digging it up.

ok maybe collasal was the wrong word here but you asked. lets see it cost X number of dollars to put that concrete down in the first place, X number of time spent going around investigating trying to find out exactly where this thing was, X number of dollars going in and breaking up the ground to get the jersey, X number of dollars to put the concrete back in, X number of dollars wasted by people who have important jobs because they were running around dealing with this little BS problem.

should I go on? was it a shitload of money...probably not. a waste of time and resources that most companies don't have but the yankees can blow...yes. christ you people can ***** about anything.

Since when do the freaking New York Yankees need publicity? They haven't won a World Series in 8 years and they, along with the Sox are still the biggest story in baseball every year. I hate the Yankees but I do love the younger Steinbrenner and his trash-talking. Imagine if the internet was around in George's salad days. That would've been the highest of high comedy.
